Behind The Song: Thunderbird Angel
The different interpretations of my song 'Thunderbird Angel' has been pretty interesting. Obviously art is subjective and can always be formed to fit whatever meaning each individual desires for it to be, but I thought a quick explanation of where the inspiration came from might be nice!
I have no idea when or where I read it and I'm paraphrasing, but the legend of the thunderbird is that it would beat its wings so hard and fierce the sound of thunder, even storms, would follow.
I watched Thelma and Louise for the first time last year and that sleek, cool car is so iconic.
People make fun of me because since I didn't like the ending I made up my own. I like to think that there was ground underneath that cliff that we couldn't see, but they just kept on driving and lived happily ever after ...yes I know thats not as cool as a "ride or die" kinda thing but it makes me happy.
I love angels, the biblical descriptions and the pictures in my imagination of such majestic beauty and incomparable strength is awesome to me. I don't collect angel wings or anything, but I do have quite a few. I have wood ones and metal ones, painted ones and rusty ones inside and outside my house and I have lots of jewelry pieces with them.
